Business Development Manager – Inhaler Testing

Summary of Position:
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be required to identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow.
Location: Nottingham, UK
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, these include:
- Developing long-term relationships with existing and potential customers
- Proactively generate new leads and opportunities by creating regional target lists
- Visiting customers to promote sales of products and services
- Maintaining, growing and supporting relationships with international distributors
- Participating in international conferences, seminars and exhibitions
- Assist Sales and Customer Support teams with preparation of sales and after-sales quotations
- Providing in-house and on-site product training sessions for customers, distributors and colleagues
- Working with the marketing team (internal and external) to support promotional strategies
- Contributing ideas for new product development and helping to evaluate new propositions
Qualification & Skills:
- Degree-qualified in a science or engineering-based subject
- Competent sales and negotiation skills
- Initiative, drive and enthusiasm
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An ability to multi-task and prioritise busy workloads
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- An ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
- A full clean driving licence
- Experience working with inhaler testing equipment in a pharmaceutical laboratory advantageous, but not necessary
