Terms and Conditions of Sale

All quotations are made and all purchase orders are accepted and goods and services and advice rendered only to these Conditions and to the exclusion of any Conditions of Purchase. Any variations in these Conditions must be expressly accepted by us in writing.

Specifications and details in our publications are subject to amendment without notification and we reserve the right to supply goods to the specification and/or design current at the date of despatch. We cannot accept the request 'as previously supplied' on an order as binding.

Return of Unsuitable Goods

It is our policy, whenever possible, to accept return of unsuitable goods from customers if they are stock items. This is provided that the notification of intention of return is made to us within 10 days of the original receipt and that both the goods and packaging materials are in re-saleable condition. A re-stocking fee may apply. If either the goods or the packaging are defaced or otherwise damaged in any way, we reserve the right to refuse return or make a charge for putting them back into condition as new.

Times quoted for delivery are to be treated as estimates only and we shall not be liable for failure to deliver within such a time. Whether a time for delivery be quoted or not, the time for delivery shall be extended by a reasonable period if delay in delivery is caused by anything beyond our control. Delivery will be by suitable means (first class post or carrier service) and will incur a carriage/delivery charge. Any urgent or special delivery requirements must be notified to us at the time of placing an order.

Loss or Damage in Transit

Notification of loss or damage in transit must be made within three days of delivery. In the case of non-delivery, notification must be made within seven days after receipt of our invoice.

We reserve the right to add to the price a reasonable charge for containers or packing. We also reserve the right to deliver pack sizes which differ from those ordered.

Unless otherwise agreed the price of the goods shall be that ruling on the date of despatch. At the time of going to press Value Added Tax at the standard rate is chargeable where applicable. Those containers which are charged separately are also subject to VAT. If you require any additional tests to be undertaken or Certificates of Analysis, Calibration or Conformity to be issued, these may be charged separately.

Minimum Order

All purchase orders received are subject to a minimum order charge of £ 25.00 (€ 40.00).

Unless otherwise agreed in writing payment in full in respect of all goods is due within 30 days from date of our invoice. Interest is chargeable at the rate of five percent per annum over the base lending rate of the National Westminster Bank plc on all overdue amounts until payment in full has been received. Payment in advance and a minimum order value may be required from purchasers without an account.

Orders may not be cancelled without prior written agreement, which may be subject to payment of a cancellation charge.
