Chen et al. previously introduced a plastic idealized nasal geometry, able to mimic average regional deposition of a nasal spray in a set of realistic airway replicas and human subjects, respectively. To test an expanded range of formulations, an Alberta Idealized Nasal Inlet (AINI; Copley Scientific, UK), an aluminum version of the idealized geometry, has been manufactured.
