10 March 2009; Nottingham, UK: Copley Scientific has added a number of new features to the company’s Critical Flow Controller TPK 2000, extending its capability and improving performance. The TPK 2000 will be exhibited at APS Inhalation 2009, which takes place from 23 to 25 March at the University of Nottingham (UK).
Recognised as an industry standard, the TPK 2000 controls and documents all the critical parameters associated with dose uniformity and aerodynamic particle size measurement for dry powder inhaler (DPI) testing. It simplifies test set-up in accordance with US and European Pharmacopoeia specifications for flow rate, total air volume and flow stability during testing.
Continued development of the TPK 2000 has further extended its capabilities: a separate temperature/humidity module improves temperature accuracy and stability, and allows the user to choose the measurement location; a direct RS232 serial port broadens options for remote control and integration into automated systems; and a new USB port widens the choice of printer.
