Home Inhaler Testing Delivered Dose Uniformity (DDU) DDU for Dry Powder Inhalers (DPIs)
Determining the DDU for DPIs is critical in understanding the safety, quality and efficacy of the product. Our full range of apparatus provides everything you need to test the DDU as per the regulatory requirements.
A second and larger version of the Dosage Unit Sampling Apparatus (DUSA) for MDIs, capable of sampling at a variety of flow rates up to 100 L/min, is available for use with Dry Powder Inhalers (DPIs) and Nasal Powders.
The sample collection tube is fitted with a 47 mm glass fibre filter and also has a pressure tap (P1) in its walls which differs from the MDI equivalent enabling the operator to measure the pressure difference using a critical flow controller.
