Why connect the inhaler testing workflow?

Fragmented workflows can lead to repeated method set-up, equipment details being held separately from test records, and operating information or reports being managed across different systems.

Bringing software, equipment and workflow information together reduces manual hand-offs and helps create a more controlled and consistent way of managing information across the testing workflow.

What connected testing enables

How Copley brings the workflow together

Inhalytix+ provides the digital hub for connected inhaler testing, bringing methods, users, equipment information, data, review and reporting into one controlled environment. Compatible Copley equipment forms part of this wider workflow through supported connectivity.

How connected testing works

Connected equipment can exchange supported workflow information with Inhalytix+, allowing centrally managed methods and user permissions to be made available during testing, while operating information and reports can return to the wider digital test record.

Build connectivity over time 2

Build a more connected workflow over time

Connected inhaler testing does not have to be adopted all at once.

Inhalytix+ provides a scalable digital foundation for managing methods, users, equipment information, analytical data, reports and audit trails. As laboratory requirements evolve, compatible Copley equipment can be brought further into the connected workflow, allowing connected capability to expand over time.

This allows laboratories to strengthen digital workflow management now while expanding connected capability over time.

Connected testing as part of a wider inhaler testing solution

Connected working is one part of Copley’s wider approach to inhaler testing. From Delivered Dose Uniformity (DDU) and Aerodynamic Particle Size Distribution (APSD) measurement to automation, environmental control, software, servicing and support, Copley helps laboratories build testing workflows around their product, method and operational requirements.

Connected Inhaler Testing: FAQs

What is connected inhaler testing?

Connected inhaler testing brings software, compatible equipment and workflow information together within a controlled digital environment. It enables supported methods, user permissions, operating information and reports to move between Inhalytix+ and connected equipment, helping create a more controlled, consistent and traceable testing workflow.

How does Inhalytix+ connect with Copley equipment?

Supported Copley equipment can exchange selected workflow information with Inhalytix+, depending on the product and connection type. This may include approved methods, user permissions, operating information, reports or equipment data. Other equipment can also be represented within Inhalytix+ through QR identification or Equipment Inventory records.

Do laboratories need to adopt a fully connected workflow at once?

No. Inhalytix+ provides a scalable digital foundation that allows laboratories to strengthen data management first and bring compatible Copley equipment further into the connected workflow as requirements evolve.

Which Copley equipment currently supports connected workflows?

The Critical Flow Controller TPK 200iX is the first new connected instrument of it’s kind, extending the Inhalytix+ workflow to critical flow control. Depending on product model and firmware version, other Copley equipment can also communicate with Inhalytix+ via the use of adapters and additional software.
