Critical Flow Controller TPK 200iX

Next-generation critical flow control for inhaler testing
The TPK 200iX builds on the established TPK 100i, combining critical flow control for Delivered Dose Uniformity (DDU) and Aerodynamic Particle Size Distribution (APSD) assessments with a new guided user experience, extended testing capability and enhanced digital workflow control.

Use it independently as a standalone Critical Flow Controller, or connect it with Inhalytix®+ to bring approved methods, authorised users, equipment information and reports into a wider connected inhaler testing workflow.

  • Critical flow control expertise
Builds on Copley’s established TPK functionality for reliable inhaler testing.

  • Guided test set-up
An intuitive step-by-step interface guides analysts through critical flow control set-up, with secure user access, method control and clear on-screen feedback.

  • Broader testing capability
Extended run time, lower flow-rate capability and enhanced workflow visibility support a wider range of inhaler testing requirements.

  • Enhanced connectivity
Connects directly to Inhalytix®+ to enable centralise management of users, methods and test data.

Designed for critical flow control in inhaler testing

The Critical Flow Controller TPK 200iX is designed to provide and document the critical parameters required for DDU testing and APSD measurement of Dry Powder Inhalers (DPIs).

It can also be used for breath actuation control when testing relevant Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) applications, including MDIs with spacers or Valved Holding Chambers (VHCs) and breath-actuated MDIs.

Guided critical flow control

The 7-inch touchscreen interface guides analysts through key stages of critical flow control set-up and testing, helping support consistent method execution and reducing the risk of missed parameters.

Guided test set-up: Guides analysts through key set-up steps, helping support consistent method execution and reducing the risk of missed parameters.

User management: Create and manage authorised users, helping control access and support traceability across critical flow control workflows.

Equipment configurator: Enables controlled equipment configurations to be defined and saved for each test method, helping standardise set-up and maintain traceability.

Device resistance measurement: Measures device resistance to support correct critical flow control set-up for the device under test.

Run test: Shows live test progress and key operating information during the run, helping analysts monitor the test in real-time.

P1 rise-time logging: Shows how quickly the test set-up reaches the required pressure at the start of a run, giving analysts a visual indication of pressure behaviour that may influence aerosol dispersion.

Connected critical flow control

The Critical Flow Controller TPK 200iX has been designed to work as part of the wider Inhalytix+ workflow, bringing centrally controlled methods and user permissions into critical flow control.

Approved methods and authorised users can be managed in Inhalytix+ and made available on the TPK 200iX. Supported operating information, equipment information and reports can then be returned to Inhalytix+ as part of the wider digital test record.

This helps reduce repeated set-up steps, support more consistent use of approved methods and strengthen traceability across the critical flow control workflow. The TPK 200iX can also be used independently of Inhalytix+.

1. Configure and manage in Inhalytix+

Set-up approved methods, user access and controlled workflow settings centrally.

2. Make available on TPK 200iX

Make methods and user permissions available on the TPK 200iX for use at the instrument.

3. Run the test

Carry out critical flow control using the selected method and user access controls.

4. Record in Inhalytix+

Return supported reports and operating information to Inhalytix+ as part of the wider digital test record.

Part of Copley’s connected inhaler testing approach

The Critical Flow Controller TPK 200iX is one of the connected solutions within Copley’s wider approach to inhaler testing, bringing software, equipment and workflow information together to support greater control, consistency and traceability.
